Tribute to HM King on Bahrain’s strides

Manama, May 5 (BNA): A tribute was paid to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa for leading Bahrain to achieve more strides and bolster its standing in the international arena.

Muharraq Governor Salman bin Isa bin Hindi Al-Mannai hailed the humanitarian decision which was taken by HM the King, commuting the death penalty into life imprisonment.

On behalf of the people of Muharraq, he reiterated loyalty to HM the King, hailing his wisdom, statesmanship, tolerance and humanity.

Speaking during his weekly majlis, he extended deepest thanks and appreciation to HM the King for receiving a delegation from Muharraq, the emblem of loyalty and patriotism.

He hailed HM the King’s visit to the Bahrain Defence Force, commending the BDF landmark strides and outstanding participation in Saudi-led Operation Restore Hope to defend national security and stability and stave off external terrorist interference in internal affairs.

He hailed the BDF participation in the Gulf Shield 1 military drill, which was held recently in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He congratulated His Royal Highness the Premier who was commended by the World Health Organisation (WHO) for the landmark strides achieved in Bahrain.

He also extended congratulations to HM the King’s Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa on winning the Iron Man North American Championship – under 49 age category, concluded yesterday in Texas.
