Manama, Apr. 5 (BNA): Minister of Housing, Bassim bin Yaqoob Al-Hamar, has extended deepest thanks and gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for his unlimited support to the housing sector in the kingdom, which, he said, has contributed to attaining many landmark achievements in this regard.
The minister also paid tribute to His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, for their incessant directives and close follow-up, which, he said, resulted in boosting housing projects and programmes.
Al-Hamar made the statements following the issuance of instructions by HRH the Crown Prince to distribute 4,200 housing units at various locations across the Kingdom, in line with His Majesty King Hamad’s directives to provide modern and affordable housing nationwide.
He added that preparations are already in full swing to announce the distribution timetable which will include the projects to be covered, stressing the Housing Ministry’s commitment to the timetable that will be announced.
HRH the Crown Prince’s latest directives follow two previous orders which led to the successful allocation of 3,000 and 3,200 homes respectively across different parts of Bahrain in 2016, contributed to reducing the names on the waiting lists in various governorates, he said.
The distribution of housing units is within the framework of the keenness of the government to ensure decent housing housing for the citizens, as part of its efforts to provide the 25,000 units included in its action plan, he added.
