NIHR chairman receives Italian ambassador

Manama, Oct. 10 (BNA): Chairman of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), Said bin Mohammed Al-Faihani, received here today the Italian Ambassador to Bahrain, Domenico Bellato.
During the meeting, attended by NIHR’s Deputy Chairman, Abdulla Al-Dirazi, and Acting Secretary-General, Dr. Khalifa bin Ali Al-Fadhel, Al-Faihani lauded the distinguished Bahraini-Italian relations and cooperation in various fields.

He highlighted the NIHR’s strategy, goals and role which are aimed at consolidating the human rights protection culture, under the Reform Project spearheaded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

He stressed that HM the King has consolidated the values and principles of human rights and freedoms through supporting human rights institutions, including the NIHR.

Italian ambassador praised the role played by the NIHR in the human rights field, stressing the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation to achieve common goals.
