Manama, Aug. 12 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has stressed that the King Fahd Causeway is an important border crossing that geographically links two brotherly countries, whose peoples’ hearts have been connected by deep-rooted bridges of love, affection and fraternity.
HRH Premier underscored the vital role played by the causeway in boosting trade and tourism between the two brotherly countries.
The Prime Minister praised the facilities provided by the King Fahd Causeway Authority (KFCA), commending the continuous development efforts exerted by KFCA’s management to serve the interests of the two brotherly countries.
“Whoever crosses the King Fahd Causeway from the citizens of the two countries moves from their homeland to their second country,” he said.
HRH Premier made the statements while reciving, at the Gudaibiya Palace today, the King Fahad Causeway Authority’s Director-General, Fahd bin Mohammed Al-Dawood, along with Public Relations and Protocols Director, Jamal bin Mohammed Al Yaqoot.
The Prime Minister asserted that Saudi Arabia is a continent, not only in its arrea, but also in its landmark regional and global achievments, affirming that without Saudi Arabia’s robust standing in the face of challenges, schemes to change the map of the region, and subvert its stable security situation and prosperous development process could have succeeded.
HRH Premier was briefed about the development projects currently implemented by the KFCA, and their positive impact on the travel and trade movements on the causeway.
The Premier praised the tremendous and “commendable” efforts exerted by KFCA to serve travellers and users of such a landmark monument, which is a vital artery that serves the trade and travel movements between the two sisterly kingdoms.
The KFCA director-general extended thanks and appreciation to HRH the Prime Minister for his constant support for development projects on the causeway, hailing the Premier’s support for adding more visit, tourism and trade facilities, which, he said, will strengthen the solid fraternal bonds further.
