Exceptional visa for plane passenger

Manama, Jan. 3(BNA): Assistant Undersecretary of Ports, Search and Follow Up at the Nationality, Passport and Residence Affairs (NPRA) today announced that the passport department of the Bahrain International Airport has provided exceptional facilities for the entry of an Arab traveler who gave birth to a baby girl at the airplane before it landed in Bahrain, which is the first incident in the country.
He said that traveler came from Abu Dhabi and was heading to Doha and then to her country, but the plane diverted its route to Bahrain because of the bad weather. Out of consideration of her situation on-arrival visa was issued for her and she was referred to the King Hamad University Hospital for medicinal care for her and her infant. (MOI)
